The Hunger Games

"She shot an arrow at your head."

"At the apple."

"Which was next to your head."

When thinking about this review, I have been trying to divorce my preconceived notions from the books in regards to the movie. It didn't really work that well. But I have many feelings; let me 'splain them to you.

NEW HUNGER GAMES TRAILER!

While I was off picking up my newly fixed phone, Yahoo! released an exclusve trailer for the hunger games. Well, not exclusive its gonna be on the superbowl. But for now it's an exclusive.

Guy on the comments of Yahoo was wondering why Katniss gave the mockingjay pin to Prim and I gave him a couple of my own theories:

1.  Madge isn't in the movie.
2.  Adds irony with the 'nothing bad will happen to you' considering what happens in Mockingjay.
3.  Allows the symbolism to transform in moviespeak throughout all four of the movies. From movie 1 where it is obviously a family symbol of Katniss/Prim devotion to 'Girl on Fire' to the rebellion as a whole.

Also was looking at the trailer and when Katniss volunteers there is an excellent WTF face by the left-hand peacekeeper.

 

You can just tell by his expression he ain't seen this happen before.
